The João Palhinha saga should come to an end soon, the Portuguese media says.

Newspaper A Bola today writes the midfielder’s transfer from Sporting to Fulham now has the ‘green light’ to happen.

It’s claimed ‘all issues’ involving the move are now overcome, and the player should travel to London ‘in the next few hours’ to complete the process.

Palhinha is initially set to fly on Saturday, after which he’ll have his medicals and sign for Fulham on a five-year deal.

It’s once again claimed that Fulham are paying Sporting €20m for the signing, plus €2m in bonuses.

The agreement between clubs had been reported by the Portuguese media for a long time now.

The issue was said to be the lack of an understanding between agents, because agent Jorge Mendes had the exclusivity for a deal with the English market and the agreement with the Cottagers was reportedly made by representative Hernan Reguera.

It now seems all parties have found a common ground on how the commissions will be shared, and the transfer can move on.
