Hull City want to sign Trabzonspor’s Abdülkadir Ömür in the winter market and their president, Acun Ilıcalı, is leading the transfer negotiations.
On Friday, Sports Digitale stated a Tigers official met with Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan and ‘officially requested’ the 24-year-old for the Championship side.
Hull City have made progress and have a deal in place to secure the midfielder’s services, according to multiple claims from Turkey.
TRT Spor’s title claims Abdülkadir Ömür is ‘on his way to England’. Within the report, it’s said Liam Rosenior’s side have ‘agreed in principle’ a deal with the Turkish club.
They further add Hull City and Trabzonspor ‘shook hands’ and the agreement will be made official once the final details of the ‘payment plan’ is sorted out.
This is set to be clarified soon as the report says the Turkey international will make a trip to England in the ‘coming days’ to carry out medical tests and other transfer formalities.
TRT Spor don’t mention how much Hull City will pay to Trabzonspor and this information is provided by Habertürk, who state the deal is set to be closed for a fee of around €6m.
Ömür has seven assists to his name from 17 games this season.
