Ajax midfielder Mohamed Kudus has been criticised for trying to force through a move to Everton, with it claimed he’s not earned the right to do so.
Kudus was linked with a move to Goodison Park late in the window, with reports in England initially stating that a transfer was close to completion.
That was quickly rejected in the Netherlands, where several journalists with close ties to Ajax insisted that there had been no approaches for the player and a deal was certainly not advanced.
That proved to be the case, with Everton continuing to show an interest late in the window but unable to reach an agreement with the Dutch giants.
That decision did not go down well in the Netherlands, with Wim Kieft claiming the player hasn’t earned the right to try and force the move to Everton.
“The boy has brought nothing to Ajax. He has always been injured,” he told Veronica Inside, relayed by Voetbal 4 U.
“I have the idea that he always makes it a bit harder than necessary. He has a lot of movements and turning, while he can be much more functional.”
