On Monday morning, a couple of Italian newspapers named Tottenham Hotspur as a potential destination for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
It was first newspaper La Repubblica who reported Spurs’ interest in the player, claiming they were one of the ‘important’ clubs chasing him.
Then outlet La Nazione had something similar, saying the London side ‘turned the spotlight’ on his signing, becoming one of the contenders to get him from Serie A.
Now as Tutto Mercato Web Radio featured an interview with sports agent Dario Canovi today, there’s been some advice given to the centre-forward regarding his future.
“He’s a prospective player but a year in Florence would still do him good,” Canovi told Tutto Mercato Web.
“I don’t see him ready for a great European yet, he’d risk making the bench. Fiorentina? You need to know how to make a technical project and follow it.”
Dusan Vlahovic has 12 goals scored in 29 appearances for Fiorentina this season. La Nazione’s story claimed the striker should currently have a market value of between €50m and €60m.
La Viola are said to be willing to keep him and make him the star of a new project, but as we all know, a good bid from Tottenham could quickly change their mind.
