Florian Plettenberg reports Hull City will today finalise a deal for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Gustavo Puerta.
The Colombian has been strongly linked with a move to the Championship side over the past week as they look to add to their squad before the transfer window closes.
The German journalist has reported on the latest developments regarding Puerta’s pending transfer to Hull City, and he says the player has now passed his medical.
It’s reported the English side will initially take Puerta on loan for a season, with an obligation to purchase the player next summer.
According to Plettenberg, Bayer Leverkusen have requested a high sell-on clause with Hull City, and he will sign the contract today.
With Ozan Tufan signing for Trabzonspor this summer it will be hoped Puerta will help to fill the void left by the Turkish international.
Puerta made just seven Bundesliga appearances last season for the German champions, but the youngster should expect to get regular first team football in England. He had been contracted with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2028.
