Brighton & Hove Albion and Lech Poznań reached an agreement for Jakub Moder’s transfer in the final days of the last window.
The Seagulls immediately loaned the 21-year-old back to the Polish club for one season.
On November 24th, Interia Sport reported Lech Poznań wouldn’t have agreed to sell the midfielder if Brighton didn’t send him back to the club on a temporary deal.
As part of the agreement, the Premier League side retain an option to recall the player in the winter market. Interia Sport explained last month that Graham Potter’s side have until December 15th to exercise the option to recall the Poland international.
According to WP SportoweFakty, Moder will only be in Poznań until the end of this year and will then move to the English club in January. This would also allow Lech to earn more money in the process.
It’s claimed a ‘decision has already been made’ by the Brighton officials and Moder will arrive at The Amex in the next window.
Having already paid €10m in the summer, the report adds the Seagulls will have to pay an additional €1m to cut short Moder’s loan stay at Lech.
Moder has four goals and three assists in 19 appearances in all competitions for Lech Poznań this season.
