Back in early 2021, Manchester City invested €6m on signing Diego Rosa from Grêmio.

Despite the big bet on his talent, Pep Guardiola’s side never gave him a chance to play at the club, loaning him out to first Lommel and then Vizela.

While the City Group were in talks to buy Bahia last year, they negotiated Rosa’s future with them, with Manchester City making €2m with the sale. And as covered by Trivela, things aren’t going great for him there.

The Tricolor played their first game of the season on Wednesday evening, and the winger was booed by his own fans when being substituted.

After the match, Rosa published an Instagram story saying ‘I’d like to inform you that today was my last game as a player’. Then another one with crying emojis.

The most shocking fact about all this is that he’s just 21-years-of-age.

Rosa then deleted the stories, and on Thursday, Bahia released an official statement claiming the player is working normally, getting the necessary medical and therapeutic support from the club.

We’ll hopefully get to see him doing better soon, and with Bahia now officially part of the City Group, he has all of Manchester City’s megastructure to back him up.
