On March 22nd, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has excellent reports about Kōnstantinos Mavropanos and that the West Ham United man is on his radar for the summer window.
A fresh report from Calciomercato talks about the Inter links and adds that AS Roma also have interest in the defender.
They further add the West Ham player and two of his teammates are on the radar of several Serie A sides.
On Tuesday, David Moyes’ side settled for a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium.
It’s claimed several scouts and directors of the Italian teams had marked this fixture in red since some of the players could become a market opportunity in the next window.
Among these are the Greece international, Kalvin Phillips, who’s currently on loan at West Ham from Manchester City, and Ben Johnson. The fullback’s deal runs down at the end of this season and he’ll be available as a free agent in the summer.
Mavropanos joined West Ham from VfB Stuttgart last summer and has played 29 games in all competitions this season. He’s been featuring regularly for the Hammers this year.
Despite this and having a contract until 2028, the report states 26-year-old centre-back is ‘thinking about saying goodbye’ to West Ham in the summer. Mavropanos played the full 90 minutes against Spurs while Johnson and Phillips were both unused substitutes.
Calciomercato don’t mention the details of the Italian clubs that had their directors and scouts at yesterday’s tie in London.
