Tottenham Hotspur are one of the sides interested in Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari, according to reports from Italy.

Operating mainly as a right-back, the 28-year-old has had a promising start to the season. He has made 20 appearances in all competitions, which includes 10 starts and six of them came in the league.

La Repubblica, relayed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, explain the Italian ‘appears to be in more difficulty’ as he ‘does not appear inserted perfectly’ in Maurizio Sarri’s plans at the Stadio Olimpico. Therefore, the Serie A side could sacrifice the player who is still contracted to them until 2024.

Despite his difficult situation in Rome, the defender, who can also operate as a midfielder, has ‘no shortage of teams that have expressed interest’ in him. This is when the north London club are mentioned as they have joined two other sides to set sights on Lazzari.

It’s claimed the former SPAL man is ‘tempting’ Bologna, Torino and Spurs. Regarding Tottenham, the report adds Antonio Conte appreciates the player since he would fit well in his 3-5-2 formation.

Lazzari’s situation at Lazio needs to be monitored because it is ‘not excluded’ for him to leave the club, likely in January.
