With 323 minutes played this season, Jonathan Calleri isn’t exactly living a great moment at West Ham. The player made many efforts to leave South America in hope of making a great career in Europe, but it’s far from happening up to now.
Calleri gave an interview to ESPN Radio on Friday. As he and Carlos Tevez played for both Boca Juniors and West Ham, most of the talk was about this, as the ‘Apache’ Tevez reportedly has an offer to move to China.
But the reporter also asked Calleri about his situation at the London club, and the forward said he’s been out because Slaven Bilic doesn’t feel he’s ready: “The West Ham manager isn’t counting on me because he thinks I lack adaptation.”
Calleri was also questioned about the rumours which have been linking him to La Liga clubs: “If Sevilla want me, they’re welcome. I keep it aside. My representative manages it.”
The striker is currently on loan from Maldonado. The Uruguayan club is used as an investment fund, so in case West Ham decide not to keep him, the player will keep being loaned until someone pays what they want for him.
