Nottingham Forest are ahead of Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton & Hove Albion, Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United in the race for Palmeiras’ Danilo.

According to Calciomercato.it, Aston Villa, the Cherries, Brighton, Leeds, Wolves and West Ham have all come forward for the 21-year-old.

These clubs are looking for a new midfielder in the winter market and they all ‘need to pay particular attention’ to Nottingham Forest.

AS Monaco are also in the mix, and they are ready to challenge the Premier League sides to sign the player.

Danilo can change clubs as early as January. In recent weeks, ‘something concrete’ has been moving around him in, also ‘by virtue of a potential discount’ compared to the initial valuation of €30m.

Over at Sportitalia, they explain the Ligue 1 side are challenging Nottingham Forest for the Brazilian. It’s claimed the player is ‘close’ to Forest as they are ready to make an offer of £18m [€20.4m].

Monaco could soon enter negotiations and ‘ruin’ Nottingham Forest’s plans to sign the South American in the current window.

Sportitalia’s report doesn’t mention any other clubs, but it suggests Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton, Leeds, Wolves and West Ham are behind Steve Cooper’s side and Monaco in the race for Danilo.
