After leaving Wolverhampton at the end of last season, Portuguese fullback Silvio is still looking for another club to sign him.
As reported by Record and other local media outlets today, the player has been training at Lisbon side Belenenses, where he’s trying to maintain his fitness and prove he’s still worth being signed.
It’s possible he will stay at the Portuguese club, as long he convinces them that he’s in conditions to play since his Wolves exit.
The 30-year-old could have been one more Portuguese succeeding this season at Wolves, but Record say Silvio was released by Nuno Espírito Santo, even though his contract had an option to be extended for a further year.
The main reason to let him go were the many injuries he picked up during his time at the Molineux. Silvio only managed to make five appearances in one year at the club.
Now with better fitness, but no games, he needs a fresh start and some luck.
