While Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva waits to complete his loan move to Anderlecht, there’s reportedly one small issue slowing down the process.

According to Walfoot, despite everything being agreed with the Belgian side, there’s a final detail to be sorted between the player and Wolves. That’s his contract renewal.

The outlet claims the Molineux side want the striker’s deal, which expires in 2025, to be extended for two more years before he goes out on loan. The player, however, only wants to add one more season.

Still, there’s a bit of optimism from Walfoot. They write that the two parties hope to ‘reach an agreement this week, or even this Monday’.

Once Fabio Silva and Wolves sort their differences out, then the player is ready to join Anderlecht, who he already has a personal deal with. The report claims the Belgian side will cover his entire salary, which is around €2m per season.

Signed by the Premier League side in a €40m deal in 2020, Silva has only four goals in 62 appearances for the club, and now looks for more experience elsewhere.
