Amadou Diawara is a player AS Roma are trying to find a solution for.
The 23-year-old midfielder has a contract with the Serie A club lasting until June 2024, but is very much available on the market.
Last season he made 18 Serie A appearances for Roma, totalling 655 minutes across those games. He made further appearances in the Europa League, yet was very much considered a player on the fringe of the first team.
There’s clearly little expectation that will improve under Jose Mourinho, so it would appear he’s been offered the chance to sign for Wolves.
Thursday’s edition of Il Tempo reports Diawara has rejected proposals Roma have put forward for a switch this summer. That’s said to include a chance to move to Wolves, and also another, unnamed, Premier League club.
Arsenal could be that club, with it stated earlier this week that Diawara could be used to help Roma seal a deal for Granit Xhaka.
Whether the midfielder has been offered to Wolves as part of the Rui Patricio negotiations isn’t clear, regardless, he’s snubbed the opportunity.
