As Atlético Mineiro youngster Savinho continues to be negotiated with the City Group, the transfer seems so certain that he isn’t even featuring for the Brazilian side anymore.
Outlet Globo Esporte writes that the player shall continue to train with Galo’s first team, but since the talks with Manchester City’s owners started, he already missed two games.
Atlético Mineiro now face Pouso Alegre and then have a big derby against Cruzeiro, and according to their story, the youngster shouldn’t be selected for any of those matches.
It’s said the transfer is supposed to be made for €6.5m, with another €6m depending on transfer bonuses, even if Manchester City might not even be directly involved at first.
The move, however, can only be made official in April, when the player turns 18.
It’s still not decided where Savinho will play once he moves to the City Group, and it’s highly unlikely he’d join Manchester City at first.
It’s said he’s expected to sign for the likes of Troyes or Lommel, although there’s a ‘more interesting possibility’ of a loan to PSV.
