West Ham travel to Germany this week to face SC Freiburg in the Europa League. David Moyes’ side are easily favourites for the round-of-16 match, but they’ll be facing a side with extra motivation to do well.
Freiburg are currently 9th in the Bundesliga and European football isn’t looking likely for them next season. Therefore, the match against West Ham is a big chance for their more ambitious players to showcase their talents and attract interest from elsewhere, maybe even the Premier League.
The 25-year-old has scored eight goals this season, with three of those in the Bundesliga, one in the cup, and the other four in Europe.
Performing well against West Ham would be the perfect transfer opportunity for the Freiburg player, report SportBild.
