Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez is on his way to sign for Manchester United.
According to De Telegraaf, the player earlier arrived at a private jet terminal to travel to England. He was seen at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, at the jet centre, at half past six local time.
The story claims lawyers from Ajax and Manchester United are still ‘discussing the final details’ of the transfer, but the player already had permission to take the flight.
De Telegraaf claims the defender will undergo a medical on Saturday morning, and will then be ready to sign a contract which will run until 2017.
The story claims the defender won’t be meeting his former manager at Ajax, Erik Ten Haag, until Sunday or Monday ‘at the earliest’. He’s expected to meet his teammates at the training camp in Australia, where the Red Devils have friendlies to pay against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa next week.
