It’s fair to say that things have not gone well for Kasper Schmeichel since he joined Nice from Leicester City this summer.
He ended his 11-year stay with the Foxes for a new adventure in France but has found life tough at his new club from day one.
It’s seen plenty of criticism coming his way as well as suggestions that his time at the club could be cut short as early as January so everyone can just move one.
The hope would be that things can improve but it seems that’s not on the cards, with him now set to lose his first-team spot.
RMC Sport report that Marcin Bulka ‘should be preferred’ to the former Leicester goalkeeper tomorrow when Nice take on Partizan Belgrade in the Europa Conference League.
They explain that Schmeichel has ‘struggled to convince’ since day one, with some sources claiming he lacks professionalism off the pitch, which is less than useful when he’s not performing on it.
Nice feel he is actually overweight, and the fans aren’t impressed, with his name booed and whistled when it was called out at the Allianz Riviera.
Bulka, meanwhile, enjoys popularity and it seems coach Lucien Favre has now decided to drop the former Leicester man and bring him in.
