Earlier today we covered comments Juan Foyth’s agent had made to an Italian website about the player’s future.
Claudio Curti was open about a potential exit from Spurs during the January transfer window, saying: “We are evaluating the possibility of going out in the January market. We wait for this week to find clarity with Tottenham.”
Jose Mourinho made it clear in December that he doesn’t see Foyth leaving the Premier League club in the winter market, however, it would appear the defender and his camp feel differently.
The Argentina version of AS has picked up Curti’s comments and are able to add a little of their own information. As they have it, the player wants to leave Tottenham to get minutes elsewhere, clearly feeling he needs more playing time to help his development.
Now Foyth is said to be waiting for Mourinho and those in charge at the Premier League club to give him permission to find a new club this month.
A loan is thought to be the likeliest scenario, although there’s no solid claims of clubs coming forward with approaches at this stage.
