Chelsea have become the latest club to join the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani in the winter market, according to Foot Mercato.
The forward has scored two goals and registered an assist from 14 games this season and four appearances in the past two months.
Despite his poor form, the 26-year-old’s qualities and ability to operate across multiple attacking positions has ‘seduced’ Chelsea.
PSG are in favour of letting him leave on a loan deal with a purchase option and this is another factor that has pleased the Blues. Therefore, Enzo Maresaca’s side have ‘decided to take action’ to sign Kolo Muani in January.
The report claims the west London club will contact the Ligue 1 winners in the coming days to find out the conditions need to sign the player.
A move to Chelsea will see Kolo Muani meet his compatriots Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Wesley Fofana, Malo Gusto and Benoît Badiashile.
AS Monaco, RB Leipzig, Manchester United, Juventus, AC Milan and Galatasaray are also in the mix to sign Kolo Muani. It’ll be interesting to see if Chelsea can get ahead of these clubs in the next window.
