Signed by Cruz Azul in July, Mexican midfielder Roberto Alvarado is still to taste a loss for his new club.

In eight appearances, the player had six wins and two draws. A pretty good start, helped by his two goals and four assists for the club so far.

Enjoying his good form, “Piojo” Alvarado has spoken to the local press this week, and revealed that he could actually be playing for Leicester City or Manchester City these days.

“I went at the age of 16 to have trials, and both Leicester and Manchester City told me to stay, but I couldn’t because I wasn’t old enough”, said the player (via Esto).

Alvarado is currently 19, and has excelled for clubs like Cenaya, Pachuca, Necaxa and now Cruz Azul. He’s also been featuring for Mexico’s U-21 squad.

Maybe the Foxes and Pep Guardiola’s side haven’t lost track of him, and are keeping an eye on his eye-catching performances.
