Manchester City striker Nolito keeps making headlines in Spain. Constantly linked to moves to his home country, the player has been much mentioned by the local press lately, although his future is still far from decided.

Yesterday, it was claimed that Celta Vigo are hopeful a deal is possible, even though Sevilla are said to be leading the race for a permanent transfer.

Nolito is currently on vacation in Sanlúcar, where he’s also keeping his shape for the preseason. He spoke to Sanlúcar Información, and when asked if his departure from the English club is done, he made sure to deny it.

“Right now I still belong to Manchester City and there is nothing decided,” Nolito told Sanlúcar Información. “We will see what happens in the future.”

But he explained that returning to his home country wouldn’t be a bad thing: “I would like to go back to Spain and hopefully I will be lucky. Right now I’m on vacation and I always like to be in Sanlúcar, quiet with my wife and my three girls, my family and my environment.”

Nolito signed for Manchester City in a €18m deal from Celta Vigo last summer. He would be leaving the Premier League side after making only 30 appearances for them.
