Samir Nasri managed his first appearance under Pep Guardiola against West Ham on Sunday. The Frenchman was brought on in the final 15 minutes of the game, and was certainly impressive.
However, there is still no clarity on his future at the Premier League club.
Nasri has been linked with a move to Besiktas, with claims in Turkey of an agreed deal, but after the game against West Ham, he revealed discussions with Manchester City about his future are going to take place soon.
Speaking to French TV channel SFR Sport (via L’Equipe), Nasri said: “I can move, it depends on a lots of factors. There has been so much speculation, real things, others not true.
“I was never shown the door or anything. We just said that everything depends on my desire. So we will sit down and discuss what to do.”
Pep Guardiola also recently praised Nasri after initial concern over the player’s weight. At his best, Nasri is excellent and it seems he’s taken Guardiola’s advice onboard.
