Venlo Nieuws reports Jay-Roy Grot will say his goodbyes to the VVV-Venlo fans tonight before his return to Leeds United.

The 21 year old has spent the season on loan with the Dutch side where he’s impressed for most of the campaign. His performances earned him first call up the Netherlands U21 national team earlier this year and he’s been pre-selected by his country for this summer’s UEFA European U21 Championship in Italy.

The Dutch media outlet report several players will be leaving VVV after the game with Vitesse, with one of those being the Leeds United loanee.

Leeds United now have a decision to make with the young forward to whether he will be in Marcelo Bielsa’s plans for next season. Grot has developed during his time back in his home country and his form is in total contrast to that in his debut season in England.

He’s scored six goals in the Dutch league this season after playing the majority of his games as a left winger. The player is contracted to Leeds United until June 2021.

In October he hinted he’d be up for a return to Elland Road despite the difficulties he had at the club: “Because they are still my club, I hope to score as many goals as possible, and then I’ll see if they think it’s good enough.”
