With Lazio trying to find a new winger before the end of the transfer window, they shifted their focus on Fenerbahçe’s Ryan Kent, who was also a target for Cardiff City and Hull City.

This is according to Corriere dello Sport, who explain how the move to Rome for the player fell through, and explain he also had offers from Cardiff and Hull for a transfer to the Championship.

However, the forward, who once played for Rangers, ‘said no’ to both Cardiff City and Hull City, with the latter also trying to make a move on transfer deadline day.

The idea that the Tigers could move for a player in Turkey definitely makes sense, and the same can be said with Erol Bulut in charge in Wales.

Kent, who arrived at Fenerbahçe on a free from Rangers in the summer, has been mostly used from the bench, and only made 15 appearances in all competitions this season.

That’s why Cardiff City and Hull City clearly felt that was room to get something done, and Fenerbahçe’s eyes likely lit up at the idea of making a quick profit on him.

However, the player said no, leaving the two Championship sides needing to find reinforcements elsewhere.
