According to Hamburger Morgeposten, Pierre-Michel Lasogga is ‘ripe’ for a move to Leeds United.
Yesterday it was reported the 25 year old is currently in England to get an overview of Leeds United, before making a decision on the transfer.
Lasogga has been linked with Leeds United throughout August, but a move to Elland Road went quiet for a couple of weeks. However, with the departure of Chris Wood to Burnley it seems Leeds United are again keen on the player, and could sign him before the deadline.
Hamburger Morgenposten also report today Leeds United could agree a right of redemption for Lasogga with Hamburg, although it’s been confirmed the two clubs will concentrate on getting a loan deal completed first.
Another issue for Leeds United with signing Lasogga is the huge salary the player currently earns. Leeds United will be expected to contribute a percentage of his wage, but it’s certain they will not have to stump up the full €3.5m a season.
MoPo say Lasogga remains very unsure about a move to the Championship, and his preference would have been to remain in the Bundesliga. There’s every chance the striker will try and drag the move out, waiting for a German offer, but there’s none on the horizon.
