Manchester City want to sign their long term transfer target Leroy Sane this summer, and have already been in negotiations with Schalke.
Schalke want €50m for the services of the German international, and reports in the English media suggest Manchester City will sign Sane this week.
Sane, however, has returned to pre-season training with Schalke amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester City, reports German media outlet DW Sports.
It seems a deal is still some way from being agreed and it remains to be seen should Manchester City accept Schalke’s demands.
It is reported Sane’s release clause of €37m can be activated next summer, but Manchester City might not be willing to risk losing him to another side.
The player is also keen on switching clubs, and the chance of playing under Pep Guardiola should be tempting.
