Fotomac claim Galatasaray could part ways with Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina in January because of the foreign player rule Turkish football.

Lemina joined the Super Lig side during the last transfer window on a season long loan deal.

The Turkish club currently have 14 foreign players, the maximum number in the Super Lig, and earlier this season they left Martin Linnes out of their submitted squad because of this rule.

However, the Turkish newspaper report Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim is keen to bring Linnes back into the team in the new year due to the problems they’ve had in the fullback positions.

In addition to this, Galatasaray are looking to bring back former Everton winger Henry Onyekuru on a possible loan deal from AS Monaco, so they may need to part ways with some of their foreign players. Fotomac report Southampton’s Lemina could be one of those.

There’s no details at this stage, and it’s not explained what Southampton or the player would make of it.

The Gabon international has made four appearances for Gala this season.
