Player ‘refused to go to’ Manchester United after receiving offer from another club

Miralem Pjanić is one of the players who could leave Juventus in the next transfer window.

The 30-year-old had the opportunity to join either Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain, claims Sport.

This was before Barcelona emerged as a new candidate for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international and that changes the dynamics for the Red Devils and PSG.

It’s claimed the La Liga winners have a verbal agreement with the midfielder and they are now in advanced talks with the Old Lady.

The Catalan club are willing to allow a few of their players to be included as part of the deal.

The Camp Nou side are waiting for the Serie A winners to decide the players they would like and reach an agreement. It’s a complex negotiation and the outcome should be known before the end of this week.

Sport states the former AS Roma man ‘refused to go to’ PSG and United after he had an offer on the table from Quique Setién’s side. 

Pjanić has already informed Juve about his verbal agreement with the Spanish champions and he remains hopeful everything will be clarified in the next few days.

Barcelona have done their part of convincing Pjanić to join them and that made it difficult for the Ligue 1 winners and the Old Trafford club to sign him.
