As you might have heard elsewhere, Thiago Silva is of interest to Chelsea.

That’s been a transfer story we’ve seen numerous times over the years, yet with the Brazilian’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain up after the Champions League final, there’s never been a better time for it to actually happen.

Reports in England stated details still needed to be ironed out, and now we have an update from France, with Téléfoot Chaîne backing up the news of talks between the defender and Chelsea.

What they add will be music to the ears of fans keen to see this happen, as it’s stated the Stamford Bridge club is one that ‘really seduces him’.

They also point out there is no current agreement with Fiorentina, which was something being pushed over in Italy, with grand ideas of a Thiago Silva-Franck Ribéry core at the heart of Rocco Commisso’s project.

First, however, there’s a really important game for him to play, so we’re sure his focus will be on that for the time being.
