Everton’s interest in Napoli star Manolo Gabbiadini has been widely reported in Italy over the past few months.
Gabbiadini’s agent Silvio Pagliari recently claimed they rejected a move to the Merseyside club in the summer, but now there are talks of a change in the January transfer window. That’s probably what the agent planned.
According to Rai Sport (via Tutto Mercato Web), Gabbiadini is now ready to say farewell, with several clubs interested in him.
Everton and West Ham are reportedly keen on him in England, but could face competition from Wolfsburg, Valencia, Sampdoria and Udinese.
Napoli could also sell him to raise funds to buy a new striker in January, with a long term injury to Arkadiusz Milik still causing uncertainty over the club’s plans.
Gabbiadini has two goals to his name this season, but doesn’t seem to be in the future plans of Maurizio Sarri.
The 24-year-old hasn’t been playing regularly this season, even with Milik out, and that could force him to evaluate his future.
