Tottenham are working with Atalanta to complete a move for goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini ‘in the next 48 hours.’
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say contacts between the clubs are ongoing to finalise the last details on the player’s move.
Gollini is expected to leave Atalanta this summer after they spent €20m to bring in Juan Musso to replace him.
He’s been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, but the last few days have seen Tottenham emerge as the favourites for his signature.
Earlier today, we covered two reports from Italy that made it clear a move was on the horizon, with one stating Gollini was ‘one step away’ and the latter carrying quotes from Atalanta director Luca Percassi confirming Tottenham’s interest.
TMW now pick up on that and say, according to their information, the two clubs want it sorted in the next 48 hours.
They say Percassi has a deal in place with Tottenham for Gollini to sign on a one-year loan deal with a mandatory redemption after a few appearances or another loan for €3m with an obligation to buy for €15m after that.
Gollini and his entourage are aware of the impending move and are ‘ready to fly to London’ in the next few hours to ‘iron out’ the final details of the move, undergo a medical, and sign his contract with Spurs.
