Fenerbahçe’s Brazilian midfielder Josef de Souza has spoke to the Turkish media about his future, and claims West Bromwich Albion have made an offer to sign him.
The Brazilian said he hasn’t received any formal offers from West Bromwich since last summer, but hinted a transfer is still a possibility.
Speaking to CNN Turk the 28 year old was asked about a bid from West Brom: “My agent told me that I haven’t received a formal offer from West Brom yet. My agent is dealing with transfer business and if there’s a serious offer for me then we’ll look into it but they also have to speak with my club as well.”
We recently covered reports from Turkey that after appointment of Alan Pardew, West Brom were no longer interested in signing the Brazilian, but Fanatik this month claimed West Brom are still in the hunt for the defensive midfielder.
The Premier League side tried to sign the Souza in the last window, but pulled out of a deal at the last minute.
Souza has become a popular figure among Fenerbahce fans this season and he’s been one of the standout players for the Turkish giants.
