The Catalan media have this week been listing a whole bunch of potential Philippe Coutinho alternatives for Barcelona.
It’s not too hard to assume that some kind of message is being sent to the Liverpool player. He’s already missed the opportunity to join Barcelona once, and if it happens again in January, then the club could move on to other targets.
That’s not to say there’s a feeling Coutinho didn’t try hard enough in the summer. Mundo Deportivo say the Liverpool player ‘put all the meat on the grill’ to try and force his transfer.
Mundo blame Liverpool for a deal being so difficult, and they believe it’s going to be the same situation in the January window, hence the Barcelona need to look at other targets.
