Among the many reports regarding Arsenal’s hunt for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz today, we’ve seen Italian journalist Rudy Galetti claiming there was already an agreement between club and player.
The Gunners would now have to reach a deal with the Villans, and despite the report saying the feelings are positive, the parties would need to work quickly to get the transfer done before the deadline.
It turns out Galetti is now back with an update on this case. He claims that Douglas Luiz is ‘pushing’ for the transfer to Arsenal, having asked Aston Villa ‘to facilitate the agreement’ with the London side.
The journalist claims it will ‘be a race against the deadline’, but highlights that there’s the will to close the deal in time for the move to go through.
