Player to be presented by new club next week after Chelsea exit – Plans already in place

Barcelona are planning to present Andreas Christensen next week, with the defender set to officially leave Chelsea on Friday.

That’s according to Sport, who say the Catalans have ‘everything ready’ to present the defender and fellow signing Franck Kessie next week.

The newspaper explains that both players have already signed all the papers to finalise their moves from Chelsea and AC Milan, respectively, and it is only a matter of days before those deals are concluded.

Both players have already ‘defined their welcome plan’, with Kessie set to be presented as a new player on July 7^th. His representatives were in Barcelona today to finalise the final details of his contract.

He will be presented on the 7^th before undergoing medical tests on the 11^th and then joining Xavi’s squad.

The plan is ‘practically the same’ for Chelsea’s Christensen, although the exact dates of his presentation are yet to be confirmed. They could be the 5^th or the 9^th, with him also joining training on the 11^th.

Either way, both are Barcelona players in all but name and could be presented as the first signings of the summer next week.
