Toni Rudiger would prefer to stay at Chelsea this summer and is delaying a decision until after the clashes with Real Madrid.
That’s according to SportBILD journalist Christian Falk, who say the likes of Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, and Madrid are hoping he will change that stance.
As we’re sure you’re aware by this point, Rudiger is out of contract with Chelsea in the summer and is yet to sign an extension to that.
He’s currently free to negotiate with clubs in Europe and has been doing so with all of the big players for several months without making a final decision.
There is a growing sense he would like to remain in London, but negotiations with Chelsea have been stumbling for months, particularly over his wage demands.
That’s been further hindered by the current sanctions on the club, which block Chelsea from extending contracts or offering new ones out.
That’s left players like Rudiger in limbo, and it seems there is not going to be any change on that front for the time being.
“Toni Rudiger still prefers to stay at Chelsea,” Falk wrote on Twitter.
“He won’t decide before the matches against Real Madrid, but Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG hope that he won’t wait for a decision on the new Chelsea owner.”
