There is a claim in the Turkish media that Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida wants a move to Liverpool before next week’s deadline.
The Croatia international has been strongly linked with a transfer to Anfield in recent weeks, with recent reports Liverpool have an agreement in place with Vida over his personal terms.
Milliyet have reported on the latest developments over Liverpool’s pursuit of Vida and it’s claimed the Premier League side have been in informal talks with his club.
Due to Croatia reaching the World Cup final Vida has only just returned to Besiktas and the central defender will now evaluate the offers he’s received from other clubs.
However, it’s said he would prefer a transfer to Liverpool over the other interested clubs. Besiktas are said to be happy with so many clubs showing an interest as this can push his price up.
It’s claimed Besiktas president Firket Orman wants €30m for Vida, but with just a week left remaining of the English transfer window they need to step things up if they want to sell.
Vida joined Besiktas on a free transfer in January and is contracted to the Turkish club for another four seasons.
