The Italian media continue to link Chelsea and Liverpool to Alisson repeatedly. The AS Roma player is currently on holiday in Sardinia, awaiting news from his agent about signing for one of three possible clubs.
It’s once again stated Real Madrid are the player’s preference, but the Champions League winners don’t want to go over €50m plus €10m in bonuses.
Thibaut Courtois is being strongly linked with a move to Madrid and given he’s only got a year left on his contract he could well be cheaper.
That leaves Alisson with Chelsea and Liverpool, who Gazzetta say are both ‘much more determined’ and ready to reach €70m plus bonuses, which seems a little over the top.
Situations being equal, it’s stated ‘London would be more welcome’ for family reasons, but Alisson doesn’t fancy missing out on the Champions League next season, which could swing things for Liverpool.
First, before he gets to choose, Alisson will have to wait for a club to meet Roma’s ambitious asking price.
