‘Operation Exit’ is ongoing at Alaves, report Marca.
There are two players involved: Guillermo Maripán and Jony Rodríguez.
The former of the pair has been endlessly linked with a move to West Ham United this summer, with claims of offers.
Marca make it clear the defender has made no secret of his desire to make the move to the Premier League club, but there’s still disagreement on transfer fee.
Claims came a couple of days ago that West Ham have increased their offer for the player. Marca explains the new amount is €15m, which is €3.5m more than the previous one from the London club.
Still, it’s not thought to be enough, with Alaves continuing to point at the player’s €25m buyout clause and encourage the Hammers to move closer to that amount.
Despite there being no agreement on price, the report sounds generally optimistic about a transfer for Maripán during the current transfer window.
