Franck Kessie is going to be one of the stars of the rumour mill in the coming months, largely due to his contract situation.
The midfielder is experienced yet still just 24-years-of-age, and put in a pretty good performance against Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. His contract with AC Milan expires at the end of the current season, meaning he’s available on a free transfer next summer.
Tottenham being linked is no surprise, given Fabio Paratici’s links to the Italian market, and his eye for a cheap deal. Signing Kessie would not only help the Spurs team, but it would be a potentially great investment, with the possibility of a big sale in the future.
Juventus could now ‘be out of the game’ given the strong interest from the London club. According to the claims, Tottenham would be willing to ‘satisfy’ both Kessie and AC Milan in terms of a January move, meaning they could get ahead of the competition.
That, of course, would mean paying a fee, although it would be much less than in normal circumstances.
