SS Lazio goalkeeper Feredeiroc Marchetti is very close to joining Bolton Wanderers, according to reports from the Italian press this Monday.

Calcio Mercato claims the player is ‘one step’ from making the move to the Championship as he doesn’t really have a future at the Italian side.

Marchetti hasn’t made a single appearance for Lazio this season, and as his contract expires in the summer, his departure from the club is seen as something certain.

The website claims they don’t know if he’s leaving in the January window or will wait for the end of the season, but they say the move to Bolton is really close to happening either way.

By joining Bolton, the 34-year-old would have his first experience playing outside of Italy, where he’s featured for six different clubs.

Now let’s see if Lazio would demand a fee to let him go in the January window or if Bolton can anticipate his arrival on a free deal.
