Fulham’s pursuit of AS Roma’s Justin Kluivert seems to be moving pretty fast.
On Wednesday, the Italian media had already reported that with the player looking for a ‘new adventure’, the Whites were ‘pressing strong’ for his signing, with ‘ongoing talks’ for his arrival at the Craven Cottage.
Now the very same Tutto Mercato Web comes up to say that Roma are ‘very close’ to selling Kluivert to Fulham, as the player is ‘one step away’ from moving to the London side.
The report claims this is an ‘outright operation’, with the Premier League club spending €10m on the signing. It’s pointed out that Torino had also been interested in the 23-year-old, but the Whites now ‘beat’ the competition from the Serie A club.
Despite belonging to Roma since 2018, Kluivert spent the last couple of seasons out on loan. He was first sent to RB Leipzig, where he had four goals and one assist in 27 appearances, and then had a year at Nice, scoring six times and assisting another six in 31 games.
Now looking for a permanent sale, the Giallorossi seem to have found the Fulham proposal a good deal for all parties involved.
