Leicester City are on the verge of landing defender Woyo Coulibaly from Italian side Parma.
The right-back will be the Foxes’ first signing of the January transfer window but could potentially see an outgoing transfer from the King Power.
StadioTardini have reported on Coulibaly’s move to Leicester City, but they suggest that the Frenchman’s arrival can lead to Caleb Caleb Okoli’s exit and the Italian can now join Parma.
The 23-year-old centre-back is ‘particularly liked’ by the Serie A side’s boss Fabio Pecchia, who managed him during their time together at Cremonese and they also helped the club gain promotion to the Italian top flight at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Okoli is seen as a potential solution to Parma’s defensive worries this season and the move will be backed by Pecchia himself.
The defender has not started even one game for Leicester City since the end of November and is clearly short of playing time. This is only his first season in the Premier League and his agent has already said that playing in England was Okoli’s dream.
Considering that, an exit from King Power in January may not be as easy as some in Italy believe.
