Three days ago we covered claims from Spain about Leeds United and Rafa Mujica.

It was reported the 20 year old has already ‘signed his agreement’ with Marcelo Bielsa’s side, arriving on a free as his contract with Barcelona expires next month.

A regular in Barca’s B team, Mujica has scored seven goals in 33 appearances this season, but Sport says negotiations on a renewal have ‘stalled’.

The youngster is said to be aware 19 year old Abel Ruiz will be ahead of him next season, and that Barcelona also want to give time to 18 year old Alejandro Marqués.

Mujica has ‘offers from England’, according to Sport, but there’s no mention of Leeds United this time.

It’s not clear whether the Catalan newspaper’s claims come from the earlier Leeds reports or are separate, if it’s the latter then it would give further strength to the idea he’s moving to English football.

Leeds United’s failure to secure promotion probably won’t have an impact on this potential transfer.
