According to a claim in the Italian media, Genoa midfielder Stephane Omeonga is currently travelling to Scotland to sign for Hibernian.
There have been reports in the Scottish media the youngster is close to signing for the Edinburgh club as Neil Lennon looks to bolster his squad in this transfer window.
TMW have reported in the last hour the latest developments with regards to Hibs’ pursuit of Omeonga and they say the player was seen leaving Genoa’s training complex to make his way to Edinburgh this morning.
It’s reported the 22 year old will join Hibernian on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Omeonga came through the Anderlecht youth system before moving to Avellino in 2016. The Belgian got his move to Serie A when he signed for Genoa last year, and he’s gone on to play 19 league games for the club.
The midfielder has represented the Belgium U21 national side on 5 occasions.
