Fiorentina’s Igor Julio is getting closer towards joining Brighton & Hove Albion, according to multiple reports from Italy.
Earlier claims had stated the centre-back already has an agreement in place with the Segaulls and this is backed up by TuttoMercatoWeb.
It’s claimed the ‘white smoke [is] coming’ after Brighton and the Serie A side came ‘even closer’ on Thursday, likely to find an agreement for a deal of around €15m plus bonuses.
TMW explain that only the last details need to be sorted out for the deal to take shape.
This is also echoed by Fiorentina.it, who say the defender is ‘one step away’ from arriving at The Amex. They further add the two clubs continued negotiations yesterday to find an agreement.
The Brazilian didn’t train on Thursday in order to not ‘jeopardise the transfer’. There’s confidence the transfer will go through soon, which is why the report states the deal is expected to be completed in the next 48 hours.
Fiorentina.it published this report late on Thursday, meaning the next 48 hours from then will be between today and Saturday. Whether that would be the case remains to be seen.
