Gabriel Sara’s move to Norwich City now seems to be a matter of time.
According to the latest report from Goal Brasil, the midfielder has ‘already given a positive sign’ for the transfer and is now ‘waiting’ for São Paulo so he can sort the move before Thursday evening.
The outlet claims Norwich and the Tricolor are negotiating a £12m fee, plus performance goals, and there’s currently a Canaries representative in Brazil discussing those add-ons.
According to Goal, this negotiation between the sides should have an outcome ‘by the end of the day’.
The report says that in case of a deal, Sara is signing a five-year contract with Norwich City.
It’s said he dreams of playing in Europe, especially in England, and believes he’ll be able to feature in the Premier League ‘soon’.
The fee revealed by Goal, however, is just a little different from the one reported by UOL this morning, as the first claims had said the Canaries are spending €10.6m (£9m).
The midfielder is currently recovering from an ankle injury, and should be only able to work again in August.
