The Carlos Miguel saga seems to be finally coming to an end.

According to journalist Bruno Andrade, the player has already had his medical ahead of his Nottingham Forest transfer.

The reporter claims that Corinthians no longer have him doing any training at the club, as they released him to sort out the final details for his departure.

Nottingham Forest are expected to trigger the goalkeeper’s release clause, which stands at only €4m.

Carlos Miguel is receiving heavy criticism for the way he’s leaving Corinthians. The first reason is that he chose to leave the club just after he won a spot in the team.

Club legend Cássio, who had been with the club for 12 years and made more than 700 appearances, was dropped to the bench and then left in mid May.

Just weeks after that, Carlos Miguel decided to leave.

Then, due to a suspension and an injury, he’s been out of their last two games, just while he was finalising his transfer to Nottingham Forest. There are a lot of people in Brazil, including Corinthians manager António Oliveira, who don’t think that’s a coincidence.

The Tricky Trees have reportedly beaten West Ham in the race for Carlos Miguel. Their main argument was reportedly that they’d give him more chances to play, so we’ll see how that goes.

Now it shouldn’t take long until the clubs make the transfer official.
