The departure of Nikola Vukcevic has already become a public subject at Braga, where there are no big hopes that the midfielder will stay for much longer.
This Friday, club midfielder Fransérgio has given a two-page interview to newspaper O Jogo, talking about the the early preparations and expectations for the next season.
O Jogo couldn’t avoid asking about Vukcevic, who’s an important player and has recently been linked to a Nottingham Forest move. And Fransérgio’s answer to that question wasn’t very confident.
“Vukcevic is a fundamental player, he is our pillar. But if he leaves, it will certainly be for the better; and if he stays, I’m sure he will help us a lot,” Fransérgio told O Jogo.
The Portuguese press doesn’t really have any news on Forest’s chase for the player today. On Thursday, newspaper A Bola had a big story claiming that the Championship side are ‘probably’ signing Vukcevic this summer.
Braga are looking to make some money in the transfer window and have picked the 26-year-old as the man for it. After asking for the help of Jorge Mendes, the super agent reportedly offered the player to Nottingham Forest, who seem happy to take him.
Now we continue to wait and see how right A Bola were in that report.
